Meedhupparu
Meedhupparu island is my personal favourite, value for money aside it is the picture perfect Maldivian island.
Located in the Raa atoll thirty five minutes sea plane flight from Male.
We have been here three times so far always with our favourite agentThomas Cook 
This is a lovely medium sized island with lush palms, great beaches, good food [thanks to chef guru] house reef, scuba diving, pool, beach bar, in fact every thing you need for that well earned Maldivian holiday. Also this island has an Ayurveda village which is a self contained area totally dedicated to Ayurveda which is an old Indian medical system for body, mind and soul and at the time of writing is the only one in the Maldives.

There are quite a few guests that return to this island year after year, the most prolific of these repeaters being
the Major, we don't know his real name but he is quite a character and the Bobbys [ bobby and marge ] who if on the island at the same time as us get first choice on room 168 our favourite spot, not because its the best room, they are all the same but this was the first one we stayed in on our first visit.
