Hudhuranfushi

My wife and I stayed on Hudhuranfushi for two weeks in January 2008, this island used to be called lohifushi but has been re named and is now run by the very capable Adaaran resorts team, and within five minutes of our arrival we where being greeted by some of our old friends from their sister island of Meedhupparu. We booked this trip online withThomson Holidays as a package deal as we found them to be very well priced and it all went without a hitch, we will definately use them again. All of the beach bungalows have just been refurbished and are very nice, with air conditioning, tv, telephone, mini bar, tea and coffee etc and the all important verandah with a sea view.

This is a surfing island and as such one half of the island has a nice beach and the other half has a shallow reef with waves curling over it, there is a bar and decked area here where you can watch the surfers, have a cold beer and a snack, also if you look into the waves just before they break you can see the submerged reef and loads of tropical fish, its like looking into an aquarium.

This island, is well established and has a lot going for it as it is in a great position for some of the best dive sites in the Maldives, and the dive school here try their best to make sure you see all of them, [thanks Alexi].

Also the staff here are without doubt the friendliest that we have met and gives the whole island a great atmosphere.
