Bathala is an Adaaran resort and is located in the North Ari Atoll 60 km from Male, it is a small oval island with 46 bungalows divided into standard and superior which are simple but more than adequate, most of these are located on the beach although some are set further back.

This small Maldivian resort is surrounded by white beaches and a coral reef. This is a budget style resort suitable for divers, with many dive sites nearby. Facilities are simple and adequate.

For scuba divers the two nearby highlights are the Protected Marine Areas of Maaya Thila, which has been described as "the white tip reef shark capital of the Maldives", and Fish Head, described as "the grey reef shark capital of the Maldives". The latter has also been judged one of the ten best dive sites in the world.
